Matis South Africa required more stockists of their product offering. Social media was the only avenue that they had not yet tried and there was a limited budget.
Brand Cartel researched the competitive environment and based on these findings, proposed that the brand address an as-yet-untapped audience of salon owners specifically through Facebook advertising targeting.
A Facebook page was launched with a content strategy designed to encourage likes and interaction both with, and from salon owners. The product was portrayed through the international brand lens and employed a tonality that would engage with consumers and salon owners alike.
The Facebook page was used to actively demonstrate consumer demand in the product which piqued the interest of salon owners. As a direct result of these efforts, myriad requests were posted on the Facebook page requesting product information and inquiries aimed at purchase and stock of the Matis product range. Thus, the page had fulfilled a dual function.
The Matis Group were enormously pleased with the results achieved. Not only were sales positively impacted, the domino effect of increased brand awareness cannot be overstated.
